The Senior Secondary Programme (Class 12th) at the Manipur State Board of Open Schooling (MSBOS) is designed for students who have completed their 10th grade and wish to pursue higher education, specialized vocational training, or professional careers.

This program is equivalent to the Higher Secondary (+2) certificates issued by other national and state boards (like COHSEM or CBSE).

1. Streams of Study

Unlike rigid traditional schooling, MSBOS offers a flexible choice of subjects, allowing students to mix academic and vocational interests. Students typically choose from three main streams:

• Science: For students aiming for Engineering, Medical, or Research fields.
• Commerce: For those interested in Business, Accounting, and Management.
• Arts/Humanities: For students pursuing Social Sciences, Languages, and Arts.

2. Subject Scheme

To earn a Senior Secondary Certificate, a student must pass a minimum of five subjects, including at least one language.
